Weekend Weaving Workshop September 20-21

Learn rigid heddle weaving in Edinburgh over one weekend!

Are you interested in learning to weave but not sure where to start? A rigid heddle weaving workshop may be the place for you.

Rigid heddle weaving is one of the easiest forms of weaving to learn. A rigid heddle loom is a simple weaving loom. It is quick and easy to set up and even easier to start weaving on.

This workshop consists of two consecutive days of weaving.

Time: 10:00-16:00

Date: Saturday September 20th and Sunday September 21st

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Bring an idea for the project that you have in mind or find inspiration in our weaving library and get assistance designing your piece.

In this studio you will learn:

• How to design your project

• How to set up your loom for weaving

• How to weaver and get those edges neat

• Finishing like hemming stitch or sewn edges

The workshop contains a maximum of three students.

All materials and equipment are provided.

Tea and coffee available too!

Please note lunch is not provided. However, there is a fridge and microwave on site and many great cafes in the area.
